Executor of Will - How to Choose Who to Disperse Your Property

Many people make a will to leave directions behind as to the dispersal of their worldly goods. In addition to naming the inheritors, a will can also include a name of someone who is to act as executor of will. This person will be responsible for ensuring that the will and last requests are followed through, and can include overseeing and estate or even handle the little every day details - including helping the grieving family - in order to make sure things go smoothly and according to the will's wishes. An executor does not need to be an attorney, and they are usually a close friend or family member.

State laws are widely varied, and the laws regarding an executor of a will vary also. If you are making out your will and wish to name an executor, you need to look up the local laws in this matter, or visit with an attorney who will walk you through the process. Typically, your executor may be expected to handle: asset management and distribution, assess the need for probate court, deciding upon the inheritors if there is no will, filing of the will, banking of estate monies, and payment of debt and taxes.

An executor will have many responsibilities, and it is important that you choose wisely. It is easier if you state your wishes for your property very clearly in a will that has been made a legal document, as without a will, an executor will have no instructions as to what you would have liked. It may be a good idea to have a back up executor as well; in case the first one refuses or cannot proceed. If you wish your worldly goods to go to a specific place, the only way to make sure that happens is to leave it documented.

An executor can still manage an estate after a death, even if there is no will. It places a great burden and responsibility on the shoulders of the executor, and sometimes can make a task quite difficult if there is not proper documentation. Most executors will follow through honestly and diligently, but it is not unknown for some people to take advantage of this situation for their own financial gain. It is vital that you select a person who is honest, has integrity and can understand the process of dispersing the goods where they need to go.

Review of Down and Out in London and Paris By George Orwell

Down and Out in Paris and London by George Orwell is an intriguing and entertaining tale concerning Orwell's experience and observation of poverty. This vivid memoir eloquently and intelligently describes his time spent with the destitute and desperate of his society in Paris and London. The haunting and moving way in which Orwell describes each character he meets sticks in your mind, and although many doubt whether this novel was a real autobiography, no one can ignore the unique personality of each character such as Boris, Charlie and Bozo.

Orwell voluntarily entered the ranks of the poor and scarcely surviving in Paris. His account is rich in its description of sights, sounds and characters. When he isn't unemployed and pawning his clothes, he works long days as a "plongeur". Orwell's book fully demonstrates that the never ending cycle of Poverty is "squalid and boring". He ends his Paris section by speaking directly to the reader about the reasons for such Poverty. Rather than claim any kind of nobility in his destitute state, he shows that the appalling jobs he and his friends perform are mostly useless and can easily be made obsolete, which creates a dismal tone in the novel. Later he moves over to London and joins the ranks of the English vagrants. This section is less strong and reads more like a scientific study of homelessness in Edwardian England.

The tense and dramatic atmosphere is accentuated in the detail of the rapid descent into the heart of the seedy and impoverished, portraying an entirely different attitude towards two of the most famous cities in Europe. Contrasting with great, romantic literary works of these cities, Orwell uses a depressing and dark point of view to bring to light many of the false generalizations and careless mistakes we have towards the unfortunate of our society. This shocking revelation creates a gloomy and appalled tone to the novel, making it more emphatic and memorable.

The novel also gives emphasis to the power of words that Orwell possesses, showing his talent through the thorough yet still entertaining descriptions he gives throughout the script. Since there is very little representation of spoken discourse in the text, the story must be fleshed out by vibrant narrative which is difficult to do well. However, in my opinion Orwell's fine style and evocative attitude sets a tone of significance to everything that is written on the pages. Through this, Orwell is able to convey his inner thoughts and emotions to his audience in a refined and subtle way. This air of secrecy is very effective in the novel as it draws the reader in and leaves a memorable atmosphere.

Altogether I feel that this is an interesting novel with some strong key ideas about morality in the society of Orwell's time. While much has changed since the 1930's, I believe that the basic concept that Orwell is trying to get across are still significant in today's culture. Rather than an actual story with a beginning, middle and end, I did sense that the novel read like a long journalistic article on society, due to the interlude chapters concerning, for example, slang and Orwell's personal opinions of the idea of Poverty. It seemed to me that Orwell was trying to persuade us to accept and agree with his view, which to be honest worked wonderfully. However, I would not call this a typical novel, and I wonder if this part-fictitious tale could even be categorized with other novels or whether it should go under its own unique genre to match its unique author.

If the novel had been written by any other author, it would have been extremely dull, as the book is repetitive and the story line is weak. However the art lies in the description for the most part, creating a colorful image to relay to the audience the effect of a place or person. I thought that more went on in the Paris section of the novel than the London section, mostly due to the fact that he didn't do anything but waste time trying to survive on little money whilst in London. I feel he included the London sections more to make a point about hardship in English Poverty rather than entertain an audience.

Overall I genuinely enjoyed reading this novel and encourage others to take a look. The novel looks dense and difficult, but even through the treacherous hardship Orwell faces, he manages to keep the tone light. To be honest, this is the sort of novel that everyone should read at least once in their lives to help educate the minds and inform them about the different aspects of humanity.

Why Social Media Privacy Gives a Person Confidence

A person who can maintain their social media privacy has a lot more confidence, then those people who do not know how to manage their social campaigns. The truth about the social systems is that they can be very scary for some people. There are people out to get someone on the social systems because they want one of two things. They either want to steal a person's identity or they want to make fun of the person for their own enjoyment. It is important to note that most people will not be out for one of these two reasons, however, there are people who are like that on the internet. That means that some people can be intimidated by the social networks.

The key to using the social networks correctly is to have an eye for privacy on every post and update on the social systems. This is because every post and update on the social networking system gives the social system more information about a person and what they are all about in their everyday life. This may seem like conspiracy theory stuff, however, a person who takes this lightly is not looking at the situation in its totality.

The truth about the social networks is that they are collecting information about a user because they have to collect that information. That is the asset they trade with other businesses for money. They do not charge a front end fee (most of them do not at least), therefore, they have to sell something or close their doors. Therefore, the social networks are in the business of selling information about the user because they have to do it. They have no choice.

Why do social media companies not change their monetization model? This is because the users would stop using their system if they had to pay for it. This means that the social media systems have gone too far to go back to another model. Therefore, the social media systems will not change and the social media user should never expect them to manage their social media privacy.

The other fact about this is that they are not inclined to change anyway. There is much more money to be made when a social system is selling information about segments of people rather than charging people for use of the system. This means that the social system will not change and the users are blissfully unaware of the amount of information that the social networking companies are collecting about them every time they post a new update.

The onus of social privacy is on the user of the social media systems. A user must keep their social media privacy in mind at all times when they use the social networking systems. Therefore, a person in the social networking systems must be wary of what the social media systems are doing to them.

Prefabricated Home Packages

This is by no means an exhaustive list of what's available in the area of prefabricated homes and buildings. This article is to introduce you to the world prefab. If you're in the industry, you'll probably be cringing about now at the word "prefab". But, the word is one that has become synonymous with homes and buildings that have been partially or fully assembled in a factory setting. I for one am excited to see the latest versions of modern prefabs emerging globally. They're well thought out, beautiful, and energy-efficient.

And to anyone who has any doubts about the quality of today's prefab homes, I'd ask, would you rather buy a house whose parts have all been crafted outdoors exposed to the elements -- by hand. Or, would you rather buy a house built in a factory setting to tight specs exceeding that of site-built homes. I say exceeding, because a normal site-built home doesn't have to endure the rigors of transportation.

For your review, here are quick descriptions of 10 of the many categories of prefab homes available for exploring at http://PrefabExpo.com - in no particular order:

1. Manufactured

Single-family residential dwellings consisting of one, two or more sectional units and constructed to Federal HUD code. Zoning regulations and ordinances of the local Municipality or County might not permit use of mobile and manufactured homes in all areas of their jurisdiction.

2. Modular

Modular refers to a method of building a home, rather than a type of home. A modular home can be built in a factory from a stock modular home plan or from a customized plan, to the state, local or regional codes of where the home will be set up. Modular homes have not typically experienced the zoning restrictions and discriminative ordinances applicable to manufactured and mobile homes.

3. Panelized

Panelized homes are factory-built homes in which panels -- whole walls with windows, doors, wiring, and outside siding -- are transported to the site and assembled. Panels are made from insulating foam sandwiched between two layers of structural material. The panels are lightweight and might already be filled with insulation when they arrive on the site. The homes must meet the state or local building codes of where they are sited.

4. Steel-frame

Steel framing is an equivalent to conventional stick frame or post & beam home design where the structural lumber is replaced by steel studs and trusses or steel posts and beams. Light-Gauge Framing System features screw-together, galvanized stud-and-truss, grid-type construction system built on 4-foot center.Red-Iron Metal Post & Beam Systems features bolt-together, pre-engineered post-and-beam-type framing system that uses the red-iron steel "C" beams on 8-foot center. The prefabricated home built with this method can be single-story, two-story, and even tri-level home. Unlike conventional wood framed home that requires interior walls to support the roof, the higher strength-to-weight ratio of steel house allows to span greater distances with less material and fewer supports. The result is higher floor layout and interior design flexibility.

Unlike wood, steel won't shrink, rot, warp, buckle, split, or be attacked by insects. This results in greater durability, lower long-term maintenance, higher energy efficiency and overall greater quality of this prefabricated home.

5. Precut

This category includes wood-framed factory-built houses or cabins where building materials are factory-cut to design specifications and transported to the site to be assembled. PrefabExpo.com presents prefab building kits designed as wood-framed (also known as balloon-frame, 2 x 4, 2 x 6 or stick-built construction) as well as prefabricated home kit / cabin kit using post-frame method. The homes or cabins must meet local or state building codes of the area where they will be sited.

6. Cedar

According to Katahdin Cedar Log Homes, cedar is aromatic to people, and problematic to insects: The heartwood of northern white cedar produces organic compounds called thujaplicins - which create that fresh, pleasant cedar aroma. But to insect pests, such as moths and termites, cedar just plain stinks. They'll avoid cedar homes and instead search out inviting, tasty pine structures.

Cedar home kits include everything you need to build the home, itself. That is to say, the walls, the floor, the ceiling, the windows and doors. But your foundation, plumbing and electrical system are not usually included in a kit.

7. Timberframe

Timber framing is a specific type of post and beam construction in which a frame is created from solid wood timbers that are then connected by any one of the following wooden joints: mortise and tenon, dovetails, or scarfs secured with hardwood pegs. The frame is covered with any one of a number of enclosure systems. Normally the timbers remain exposed to the interior of the building.

Timber frame structures exhibit a strength and aesthetic quality not found in conventionally framed houses. The timbers are pre-cut, shaped, and finished at the factory, then sent to the construction site, where they can be quickly assembled by a crew, routinely using cranes to lift the bents and beams into place. The use of quality wood, enhanced by joinery that compares with fine cabinet making, maximizes the strength of the timberframe structure. Joinery is the heart of the entire structure.

8. Log

Log homes provide their owners with a comforting and relaxing sense of informality and simplicity. The mass of logs produces heating and cooling benefits, and reduces noise transmission into and throughout the home. These are very attractive characteristics, but there are also challenges in construction and limitations in decorating. These aspects require special design considerations and have unusual maintenance requirements. Basic Kits Are...

WALLS ONLY: The walls-only log home package includes all the logs for the outside walls, including fasteners. Roof beams and staircases may be added.

STRUCTURAL SHELL: Shell This package includes everything that's in the walls-only package, plus all components necessary to keep the weather out, such as exterior doors, windows, and the roofing system.

THE COMPLETE PACKAGE: Complete packages also includes interior components required to finish log homes. Such items include interior walls, stairs, closets, interior doors and trim.

9. Circular

The circle is the strongest geometrical shape we recognize, and this factor likely influenced builders of circular homes for thousands of years. Prefabricated circular buildings have been built as cabins, studios, homes, offices or community halls and convention centers. Most of today's prefabricated circular homes and cabins offered across the country use conventional wood-frame or post & beam construction method. These homes and cabins are ideally suited to take the full advantage of locations offering exciting panoramic views, and to incorporate factor of the surroundings into the home design.

10. Dome

Geodesic Dome is using triangular networks forming hexagons and pentagons and creating a free-span, spacious environment of spherically shaped structure requiring no internal supports. This results in large flexibility for utilizing interior space to implement floor designs not limited by structural restrictions. Because of the structural strength of the shape, the domes have a far better record of withstanding tornados, hurricanes and earthquakes than cube-shaped structures of conventional homes. Advantages...

MATERIAL COSTS: Geodesic domes provide the greatest amount of floor area with the least amount of surface area, reducing the quantity of needed building material by as much as 30-50%.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY: As a result of the shape, the dome has approximately 30-50% less roof and wall area than cube-shaped home of equal floor space. This results in lesser area being exposed to the elements, resulting in reduction in heating and cooling costs of dome shaped structures. Also, the spherical shape of the dome facilitates natural air flow yielding more even temperatures maximizing overall interior temperature comfort.

Disadvantages...

As a result of complicated angles, the interior and exterior finishing of the dome (after speedy assembly of the prefabricated shell) is significantly more labor intensive than finishing the conventional house. Also, the finishing work requires highly skilled or specialized tradesmen which might not be available at every location. These factors might present welcoming challenge for skilled handyman - homebuilder, but would create substantial cost outlay if the hired labor is considered.

Personal Grievance: How To Find Out About The Facts About How To Deal With

When an employee feels personally aggrieved about a work situation in which they believe that they have been unfairly treated, they can find relief under the laws regulating personal grievance in the workplace. Covering any grievance against an employee, including unfair or unjustified dismissal, harassment, discrimination, duress or unfair treatment; if an employee has not followed the legal procedures or have a bona fide reason for a dismissal under the current employment contract and law, then you may be covered by the legal protection that personal grievances (PG) and unfair dismissal provides under New Zealand law.

Dismissals are occurring on a daily basis, and not all of them follow the correct and legal procedure set out. In New Zealand, the Employments Relations Act 2000 provides all those who feel that they have a case for personal grievance within the workplace to pursue a legal course of action, as set out in the Act. Many of the cases of PG in New Zealand relate to unfair dismissals, which can be both financially and emotionally draining on those who suffer such hardship.

However, the legal process is complex in bringing an action against unfair dismissal with specific procedures that must be adhered in order to raise a legitimate complaint. For these reasons, it is essential that professional knowledge and expertise is sourced in the form of specialist employment law specialists, who have a wealth of experience in dealing with cases involving personal grievance. Specialist employment lawyers will inform you of the correct procedures to attempt to resolve the personal grievance between yourself and the employee; as well as the legal advice to further such grievances if required.

The first stage of the process is communicating the PG to your employer. It is of the utmost importance to be aware of the ninety day limit that personal grievances can be actionable. If an employer is not informed of the grievance within ninety days of its occurrence, the employer has not legal responsibility to acknowledge or remedy the situation; as well as losing the right to further take action with the Employment Relations Authority.

It is important that the grievance is created in a written form; this creates a formal record and the foundation of the complaint. This letter should document the personal grievance itself; such as when it started, what happened, who was involved, what was your reaction, were there any accusations and what were the actions of the employer. Additionally, any documents associated with the personal grievance, such as disciplinary notices and letters relating to the event. Once this is completed, the professional advice of an experienced law firm specialising in employment law should be consulted. There are numerous procedural laws that have to be followed in registering a personal grievance and without the proper legal advice, even the most obvious of grievance cases may not be actionable.

Wedding Anniversary Symbols

Most people are aware that significant wedding anniversaries such as 25th and 40th are linked to precious stones, in these cases silver and ruby. However, it is less well known that all anniversaries up to and including the 15th, and then every 5th anniversary, have their own particular symbol. The list below shows the symbol traditionally associated with each anniversary.

1st - Paper

2nd - Cotton

3rd - Leather

4th - Books

The Silver (25th) and Golden (50th) Anniversaries appear to be the most traditional. In Central Europe going back hundreds of years a man would present his wife with a silver or golden garland to mark the occasion of their anniversary.

The other materials have been added to the list more recently, and there is now a more modern list which incorporates the missing years 16-19. Amazingly, a ten carat diamond has been added for a 100th Wedding Anniversary! How many couples will get that far?

The traditional version is still preferred by most people.

Business Ethics: The Law of Corporate Karma

According to the shamanic traditions, the great mystery of being is that all things are alive and have a level of intelligence. This is because all things are a part of the Great Spirit. However, all things also function individually, in thought and action. It is in these individual actions that karma is born. Karmic laws also state that all karma, both good and bad, must also return home...return to sender!

Most of us don't have a good grasp of group karma. Simply stated, if you agree to be a member of a group situation, you are also agreeing to it's collective karmic pattern of return. So sooner or later problems at work, in your business or corporate structure will show up at your front door. It's like you caught the flu from the group...but now your personally ill.

As humanity grows in it's awareness...it also grows in karmic responsibility. So years ago many industries caused environmental problems, but were not aware of that fact. However, karmic law states all things must return home..........so these industries don't really exist today.....or operate in a weakened condition [ in the future they will not exist at all].

According to my spirit guides, there is a big push these days too clean up the karma of the global business world. We know from the news that many business institutions, and even very large corporations are in trouble these days..many will not make it through the heavy gate of karmic return. They will fail.............

On the brighter side, Spirit is not against business, but is really pro-business....so now what? The newer business model that is emerging is much more holistic. By agreeing to function more holistically, much less damaging karma developes.....and if you're really aware of all business levels...very little negative karma developes. So, if you're in a corporate or business situation, and things are not really going right...take the time to clear the issues up, before you catch the karmic flu!

Just at the environmental level, many things should be addressed....but just start by keeping your office or work space clean and organized....this helps clear out negative energy patterns. Taking it one step further...use Feng Shui tools and techniques if you know how. Or buy a book, hire a consultant or use trial and error to solve some of the ongoing issues around you at the job or business.

Choosing A Low Cost Health Insurance

It can be hard to find affordable, low cost health insurance, but if you slow down and take your time you can find a health insurance policy that will offer you the coverage you need at a price you can afford to pay. But it will take careful research.

One of the first things you need to do is take a serious look at your budget. After you pay your bills and any essentials how much will you have left to pay for health insurance premiums. You really need to look for a health insurance policy that you can afford.

Just follow the below steps and you soon find a policy that you can afford.

Take a good hard long look at your budget. You need to know what you have left after you pay your monthly bills and be sure you set aside money for any essentials like gas for your vehicle, food, lunch expenses, and any other regular weekly or monthly bills your going to have to pay. Be sure to be honest with yourself and write down all your expenses.

Once you have all your budget worked out you should be able to come up with an ideal of how much you can afford to pay on a regular weekly or monthly basis for your insurance premium. Be sure to take a look at all your options. Is health insurance available from your employer or your spouses employer. You will find that if you can take part in a group policy that the premiums will always be lower.

If you can't take part in a group policy consider calling your local department of social services and ask them if they know of a low cost alternative for you. Some states have an affordable program that you may be able to take advantage of. Check to see if your state has a program like this.

If nothing else is available you need to do research into what low cost health insurance policies may be available to you. Use the yellow pages and let your fingers do the walking. Call several companies and ask for suggestions. Tell them you need a low cost policy and ask what policies they recommend to you.Ideally you want a policy with the lowest deductible possible and be sure to check your policy out carefully to know if it will cover pre-existing conditions.

Be sure to take careful notes and pay careful attention to the costs and make note of this. You want to find a policy that you can afford and you need a policy that is not going to charge you a huge deductible. If the deductible is to high it is really not going to help you.You really need to be aware of what your policy is going to cover and what it is not going to cover. Write down any questions you may have and ask them before you leave your insurance agent's office. Be sure that you know and understand everything fully so that you are not hit with surprises later.

To summarize it's important to make notes while you're doing your research into a low cost health insurance policy. Be sure that you know and understand your policy completely. You must know in advance what your insurance company is going to pay for and what it is not. If you have any doubts at all ask questions.

Insurance Marketing Agency Outsourcing Versus Internal Staffing Models

For most insurance agencies, brokers and wholesalers, it's unlikely to internally staff up on all their insurance marketing initiatives. This is as true for insurance organizations as it is for most businesses, especially those between $1 Million and $50 Million in revenues. Some might refer to this as the SMB market. Businesses of this size may lack a sufficiently large marketing department to cover all the skills needed for a comprehensive marketing program. Consider that an insurance marketing plan can incorporate many and varied marketing activities. For example, in any given year, once a marketing plan is created, an organization may wish to embark upon an organic search engine optimization initiative, helping their website rise to the top of the SERPs (Search Engine Result Pages). Or they may wish to build an opt-in email list and offer an educational webinar series to their targeted prospects. In fact, any of the following elements may be needed, and many of these types of marketing activities require highly specific and sometimes highly technical skill sets:

PPC ads, Banner Ads Insurance eMarketing Insurance Newsletter Distribution Blogging, Vlogging, News Releases Insurance Social Media Marketing Insurance Website Development Web Seminar Marketing Contact List Generation, eMail List Generation Insurance Telemarketing, Appointment Setting Client Testimonials and Case Study Creation Insurance Agency Lead Generation Programs Organic Insurance Search Engine Optimization Insurance Agency Video Creation (and YouTube video) Insurance Web Marketing Plans

These are just some of the marketing activities agents, brokers and wholesalers might utilize in their marketing efforts. There are also many traditional initiatives such as print advertising, association marketing, sponsorships, etc. How can an owner, manager or agent determine if they should internally staff a position or outsource the position? An easy ROI is based upon the marketing activity and frequency of the activity. For example, let's say they want to increase insurance agency leads, and opt to send out two webinar email campaigns per month and run a webinar as the Call to Action for the campaigns. Further, let's assume they want to do this every month for a year. If it costs $60,000 per year to hire an eMarketing manager to do this, versus $20,000 per year to outsource it, it's an easy decision. However, if the goal is to run six webinars a month to various target verticals, with 12 eMarketing campaigns per month, then it could become a closer call, as the outsource costs may begin to approach the internal staffing cost. Makes sure both costs are evaluated as fully burdened costs (outsource should include all infrastructure while internal staffing costs should include health benefits, expenses, and related overhead).

Take the same approach with Search Engine Optimization and insurance websites. Would a full time developer and organic Search Engine Optimization specialist be needed to create and update your insurance agency website, or do you simply need a new website with periodic updates. Today there are many good options for new insurance websites that include Content Management Systems (WordPress, Joomla, etc.) allowing businesses to use nontechnical resources to make most of their own website changes. Agents should review their goals, create a marketing plan (a possible outsource), and determine the ROI of staffing versus outsourcing for their specific marketing initiatives. This is often an iterative process, not a one time annual event.

David Garfinkel is considered by many to be the world's greatest copyrighting coach. He's an award-winning business journalist and is also the author of several best-selling eBooks, such as 'Advertising Headlines That Make You Rich' and 'Killer Copy Tactics'.

There have been so many books on this subject that I really couldn't imagine how this book could add anything new.

But I have never before seen an eBook that explains so clearly how to do it. I got the feeling that you could literally walk in Jim Edwards' footsteps and get the same results he did (over 4,500 eBook sales in 9 months).

What makes this book very readable and enjoyable is that it's simply a long interview - David Garfinkel asks the questions and Jim Edwards gives the answers.

The book is packed with so many 'insider tips' that's it's difficult to know where to begin, but one of the most valuable tips is how to find out - before you write your book - if there's a market for it.

You do this by following Jim Edwards' 5-Step 'Ultimate eBook Success Formula'. The formula allows you to find out if there's a target audience that is already actively looking for the information you're about to sell online. And if so, if they are prepared to pay for it.

One of the interesting things you'll discover in this book is that competition is actually good for your eBook.

If you come up with an idea for an eBook and you find that there are no competing books, you need to get worried - it means there's probably no market for that idea.

But if there are books competing with yours, you're on safe ground - you know you have a market.

And don't be put off by competition: anyone who is serious about a particular subject will buy at least 4 or 5 books on that topic.

Many eBook authors who make big money quickly with their eBooks do resale rights. Instead of making $29 per sale, they're making $99 per sale. As you can see, resale rights can get you into serious money very fast.

But there are definite pitfalls with resale rights (such as finding out a few months later that your cherished information product has become a free eBook). If you want to avoid these pitfalls, you need to read Section 2 carefully.

You might think that best-selling eBook authors don't bother with affiliate programs. Wrong!

Jim Edwards shows you that one of secrets to making money with your eBook is to load it up with back-end affiliate links. But there's a right way to do this and a wrong way (more about this in Section 5).

But the real secret to how Jim Edwards made over $40,000 in one month from a single eBook is joint ventures - finding people with lists of 10,000 or even 100,000 and getting them to do a personal recommendation to their readers.

On the Internet it's not products that make money, it's lists (products don't sell, lists do). Or as Jim Edwards puts it: 'the power is in the pipes, in the distribution'.

Let's say your eBook is priced at $29 and you find someone with a list of 10,000 and they do a mailing that results in 3000 people turning up at your website.

And let's say that those 3000 visits result in 90 to 180 sales - you and your joint venture partner are suddenly making thousands of dollars in a few days.

Jim Edwards shows you exactly, step-by-step, how to set up a joint venture. He even shows you the exact same letter that he used to set up joint ventures for his book 'How To Write and Publish Your Own eBook in a little as 7 Days'.

One of the keys to making joint ventures work is what Jim Edwards calls 'the Santa Claus technique' (more on that in Section 2).

A question many people have is how to price their eBook. And it's crucial that you get this right. In Section 4 Jim Edwards reveals his 'pricing formula' - a very clever way to find your eBook's 'breakpoint' or equilibrium.

There's another very valuable tip in Section 17 - 'My Secret Method For Slashing Refunds' (this tip on it's own could be worth the price of the whole book).

This is the best book on eBook publishing I've read in the last 18 months - in fact, while reading it, I came up with the idea for my next eBook!

Cloud Backup and Its Benefits

Cloud backup, as the name implies, is a kind of backup plan that is used to store data and information in the 'cloud' or in a remote server, other than the computer itself. In the cyber world, this concept is also referred to as online backup, the service being usually provided by 3rd party service providers.

The strategy of Cloud backup runs somewhat like this - it backs up data that entails forwarding a copy of the same across a public/proprietary network to a server, which is offsite. This server is typically hosted by a 3rd party service operator, who takes a fee from the backup customer, and based on how big or how small his requirement is, the bandwidth needed and/or the volume of users.

As far as data and information are concerned, this kind of 3rd party backup has gained immense popularity in the field, more so with home computer users and small scale business houses. The main reason for this can be accredited to the fact that it is super-convenient a thing - capital expenses for extra hardware for offline backup are not needed and it can be run automatically, sans any kind of manual intervention from the backup customer.

Cloud backup vs traditional backup

Ranging from quicker recovery times to remarkable cost savings, not to mention 100% guaranteed backup, cloud computing benefits for both storage and disaster recovery are way above anything else.

Below are enlisted a few grave problems that can come up with traditional backup/recovery and the advantages of cloud that works swiftly to negate them.

Problems associated with traditional backup/recovery

• Most of the traditional back-up facilities are superiorly error-prone, accounting for frequent failures in their functional capabilities.

• There is also an increased risk of hardware/software incompatibilities.

• Take into account the added disadvantage of time-consuming restoration and recovery that traditional back-ups pose.

• Last but not the least, traditional backup cannot be done without significant storage facilities available. This is not only inconvenient but may also enhance the expenses within a production environment.

Advantages of cloud backup

• Since this kind of backup is provided by a 3rd party service operator, overall costs associated with it are significantly less. There is less of servers to be maintained and less manual functions to be preformed. As a consequence, it eradicates hardware dependencies to big limits.

• A big purpose of cloud backup is RTO or Recovery Time Objective. And likewise, it cuts down the recovery time in big portions. So what previously used to take days or even weeks will now take only a few minutes or at the most, a few hours.

• It also guarantees that the server environment is in full synch and that the data gets backed up in the most foolproof of ways.

• It is also the best for disaster recovery.

• Quicker online backup is a natural trigger of cloud backup.

Cloud backup is therefore a viable option and if you are looking for a hassle-free backup that is also the most feasible don't hesitate to move towards the cloud right away.

What Are The Consequences For An Uninsured Employer?

There are some businesses that choose to operate without workers compensation. In some cases they operate without any kind of insurance what so ever. The cruel fact is that once an accident happens to a company who is uninsured, they run the risk of huge financial losses. The profits of these companies will be seriously jeopardized. When this occurs, the state must take on the burden of looking after the injured employee. They will provide financial compensation to the employee, only to recover the outstanding account from the business later on down the track. The local, and state government are relentless when pursuing uninsured employers, and may impose fees and/or penalties over the compensated amount paid to the employee.

Workers compensation is directly linked with the state government who oversee it. So obviously, since it's controlled by their office, the state takes an extreme interest in cases where an employer provides insufficient coverage for a worker that has been injured. This is because the state has a legal obligation to provide for all injured personnel if the company cannot. Between the possible fines there are strict legal penalties, as well as contact with potential civil lawsuits from injured parties. Usually, the offender responsible can be the top management along with actual owners of the company. In cases of extreme negligence, often these people can be tried for criminal charges as well. Regardless, after the state takes care of the injured employee, all reasonable steps are then made to force the company into compliance.

When the business is not able to deal with injured employees, such as when injuries exceed the company's liability insurance cover, many states will use a special fund, which is reserved exclusively for this type of situation alone. Obviously, it is an exceptional case that would require these funds to be allocated. In California, when the state governing department has to step in to assist and manage an injured worker, the cost can be in excess of $60,000. Usually, a special claim of this sort is bought to the attention of the federal government to review it. The state will then pay off any additional liabilities incurred by the worker's injury, such as due compensation and medical bills etc. This is just like when a private insurance company would compensate workers. The only difference between the private sector and the state government office is the process would take considerably longer and be much more inconvenient to the injured staff member in the private sector.

There is also the ethical responsibility that should motivate all employers to follow the law and obtain adequate workers compensation insurance. Moreover, the state will handle miscreant employers with a heavy hand, and an equally heavy day in court. They may even fine the employer for the period of time when it was uninsured, since it was basically operating as a huge liability to everyone else and the public's coffers. There is no benefit what so ever for employers who choose not to cover themselves with adequate workers compensation insurance.
